How this random number generator works
Use the simple version as a random number picker for a single integer between your lower and upper limits. The comprehensive version generates multiple integers or decimals, with controls for duplicate results, sorting, and decimal precision.
Each draw selects a value from the range. Integer results include both bounds when they are integers. Decimal results use the selected number of decimal places, so the available values form a fixed grid within your bounds. Limits are rounded inward to that grid, never outside the range.
The generator uses a seeded pseudorandom sequence and rejection sampling to avoid modulo bias. Unique draws use sampling without replacement. This tool is for games, practice, and everyday choices; it is not a cryptographic random number generator.
Range, precision, and results
Generate up to 999 numbers at once. Integer bounds support up to 3,000 digits; decimal bounds and precision support up to 999 digits (precision starts at 1). Exact integer arithmetic keeps large values and fine decimal precision from being rounded by ordinary floating-point numbers.

Frequently asked questions
Are the lower and upper limits included?
Yes, if they are valid values at the selected precision. For integer results from 1 to 10, both 1 and 10 can appear.
How do I generate numbers without repeats?
Choose the comprehensive version and set Allow repeated values to No. The range must contain at least as many distinct values as you request.
What does decimal precision mean?
It sets the number of places after the decimal point. At precision 2, results are spaced by 0.01 and display two decimal places.
Why does a shared link show the same numbers?
A shared link contains the settings and the sequence seed for that draw. Click Generate to produce another draw.
